For a decade, Climbers Way has been trusted to look after the University of Southampton’s trees, helping to create safe, sustainable, and beautiful campuses for students, staff, and visitors. That relationship has now grown into a new contract lasting three years, with the option to extend for a further two, giving both sides the confidence to plan ahead and build on everything we’ve achieved together.
This tender length is important: it gives us the space to think long-term, to move beyond quick fixes, and to manage the university’s entire tree stock in a way that is consistent, proactive, and responsible. Our process blends expertise with care—independent surveyors identify remedial works, and our experienced management team, supported by our office staff, coordinate those works across multiple campuses with efficiency and attention to detail. By working closely with the council, we ensure that all necessary consents are secured, so projects run smoothly throughout the year.
For us, this partnership is about more than just tree work. It’s about protecting the environment, ensuring safety, and making the university’s outdoor spaces greener and more welcoming year after year. With ten years already behind us and up to five more ahead, Climbers Way is proud to keep supporting the University of Southampton with the same attention to detail, dedication, and expertise that have always defined our work.
